Game On: The Evolution of Video Games

Game On: The Evolution of Video Games is an interactive exhibition that takes visitors from the pixelated past to the high-definition present. It first ran at Stockwood Discovery Centre in Luton – and it's now available to book for your venue or event.

It's a chronological journey from the birth of video gaming, decade by decade. From the simple blips of the Magnavox Odyssey and Pac-Man to the sleek sophistication of PlayStation and mobile gaming, visitors see first-hand the technological leaps that defined each era.

And it's properly hands-on. Visitors play on the actual consoles that sparked revolutions in living rooms around the world: the feel of a joystick, the click of a cartridge, the camaraderie of sofa co-op. Interactive displays let them play iconic titles, with 8-bit tunes and triumphant fanfares setting the scene.

Local voices share their own memories and anecdotes, while rare memorabilia, concept art and developer interviews give a behind-the-scenes look at how the games were made. Then there are oversized selfie spots and photo ops, plus practical gaming challenges to get stuck into.

Veteran gamer or curious newcomer, there's something for everyone.

Game On needs a space of roughly 20m x 20m, but the layout is flexible and it can be booked in full or in part. To bring it to your venue, call Darren Woodhouse on 0800 0869695 (ext. 4) or email hello@bbbgroup.co.uk.
